Medically Supervised Detox and Substance Abuse/Dual Diagnosis Treatment Programs
Adults 18 and up with substance abuse or poly-substance dependence, or a dual diagnosis, can receive medically supervised detox and/or a full 30 day rehabilitation program. Many patients struggling with a substance or poly-substance dependency are also dually diagnosed with mental health issues such as depression or anxiety. Patients with withdrawal symptoms requiring medically supervised detox have physical symptoms that may include:
- Blood alcohol level up to .30
- General weakness
- Heavy perspiration
- Nausea and vomiting
- Disruption in sleep pattern/eating habits
Adult mental health program options include intensive outpatient, inpatient care or partial hospitalization for adults who are stepping down from inpatient treatment.
Treatment plans are based on thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments. Staff are experienced in adult treatment with specific knowledge about adult substance abuse issues.
The multi-disciplinary treatment team includes a psychiatrist, advanced practice nurse and nursing staff, licensed mental health therapist, dietician, and recreational therapist.
Case managers will assist with understanding treatment options, discharge planning, aftercare needs, and working with your insurance carrier. The case manager will coordinate communication needs with the professionals you rely on at home, with your permission.
Referrals can be made by physicians, therapists, ministers, social service agencies or family members. Referrals are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from Kentucky and surrounding states. Assessments to determine the best level of care for each patient can be completed at the hospital, or mobile assessments are available by appointment.
